Pilgrimz play overdrived Metal music and Hard rock , with elements of Punk rock and Hardcore metal.

Early years

Pilgrimz was formed in 1998 on the small Danish isle of Nykøbing Falster in 1998. It was Members Max Christensen (Vox) and Michael Aagesen aka. Aage (Guitar), who set out to experiment with the crossing of Metal and Hardcore. Later Daniel hermann (Bass) and Niels Larsen (Drums) joined.

They released their first EP, entitled "Goodday mister president" in 2003 - a four track. half a year after they released yet another EP, "Small minds - great knowledge" a mini CD that recived great reviews for the upcomming band. The EP was recorded by and at Jacobhansen studios.

Middle-period - first album

Pilgrimz recorded the first album Boar Riders with Jacob Hansen and the album was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at antfarm studios. It was released in 2008 by I Scream Records and recived great reviews. Pilgrimz signed with the acclaimed Booking Agency; The agency group. This took them touring as warm up for artists like Raised fist and Gojira (band)

In the summer of 2008 & 2009 Pilgrimz played alot of festivals as well, amongst them Roskilde Festival - Hultsfred Festival - Sweden Rock Festival and Ruisrock

Later - second album

Pilgrimz are releasing their second album (Self titled) later in 2012. And expected and very much anticipated album. Reporters who where covering the process of the album was told by Max Christensen in an inteview:

“We knew that our sound had changed a lot before we went into the studio. We’ve gone from hardcore with a twist of rock n ‘roll – to rock n’ roll with a twist of hardcore. It was a guideline we all agreed upon as we felt that we had grown in our expression since the debut album. It was harder to emotionally decipher our own guitar riffs and why should it all be so complex with the recording of Boar Riders? “Just play 3-4 chords that rock and we’ll take it from there!“
