Dennis Chan

I am an emergency-vehicle entusiast from Hong Kong. In addition to emergency vehicles, my interests include photography, models, buses, cars and trucks.

I graduated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and I was an major in English. Having graduated, I tried to apply for positions at the Police Force and other disciplined forces as it is always my dream to become a policeman or an ambulanceman. However, no matter how hard I trained myself, I could not pass those physical fitness tests.

So, I began to look for some other jobs. But unfortunately, most employers in Hong Kong requires not only educational qualifications, but also work experience. Being a fresh graduate, it was not easy for me to get a decent job. I have tried to apply for positions which aimed at Matriculation or even Secondary-five graduates. But I still failed due to the lack of experince.

Finally, I got a tutor position at a tutorial centre at the end of 2005. All were quite fine at the beginning. But one day, bad luck came to me again. I was attacked by a student. She kicked me at THAT position. I fell onto the floor immediately. It was the ultimate pain that a man can have. But what made me angry is that the supervisor prohibited me from calling 999 for help. Furthermore, they did NOT tell the parents about what their daughter had committed! So I resigned. That was in January 2006. And I have remained unemployed again until now.

Being unemployed, I have more time to deal with my interets. For instance, I can go out on weekdays with my camera to capture emergency vehicles. But of course, if I can choose, I would rather have a job.

Anyway, here are my contributions to Wiki:
