San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF) is a film festival located in San Antonio, Texas. The Best of Festival or Jubilee Award carries a $101,000 USD cash prize, the largest single cash prize awarded at a US film festival.[1]
2007 competition
The winner of the Best of Festival Award was The Monstrous Regiment of Women, a documentary on Feminism by the Gunn brothers who in 2005 won the best documentary for their film Shaky Town.[2] Samaritan won the best narrative. A Cry from Iran took the Best Documentary Award. Best Biblical Family Award went to Joel's Journey. Heartstrings, directed by John Moore won both the Young Filmmaker’s Award and the Audience Choice Award.[3]
2009 competition
There was no festival in 2008. The winner of the 2009 festival was The Widow's Might,[1][4][5] (which was made by John Moore's friends and family) which won $101,000 as the winner.[6] The festival was held on January 8–10.[7]
2010 competition
The winner of the 2010 festival was Agenda: Grinding America Down, a documentary alleging hidden Socialism in the United States.[8]
2012 competition
There was no festival in 2011, due not to a festival cancelation, but simply because the festival dates were moved from fall to winter, resulting in no festival occurring within the 2011 calendar year. The winner of the 2012 festival was Courageous, a drama from the creators of Fireproof.[9]
