The Biscuit Factory is a Contemporary art gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Gallery opened in 2001 after undergoing major renovation work. Prior to 2001 the Building was used in the manufacturing of biscuits (hence the name The biscuit factory), changing its name over the years from The Tyne Biscuit Factory to the name Newcastle upon Tyne Biscuit Manufacturers. The building has also been used for many other uses such as a warehouse in 1946 to a carpet and furniture retailer in 1977.

The Biscuit Factory was opened in 2001 as Art gallery. The gallery houses a number of contemporary art exhibitions throughout the year Including a huge range of media from Paintings to Glass and film.

The building its self consists of two floors of exhibition space and two floors of artist studio's. Aswell as a Cafe intitled the 'Factory Kitchen Cafe'and the 'Gallery Restautant' owned by Head chef David Kennedy.
