An Insurance professional counting over 43 years in the field of insurance, serving locally and overseas. Was attached to the Hayleys Group, a blue chip conglomerate, for over 24 years and a Director of Hayleys Insurance Services until retirement. Currently a consultant to various companies on insurance matters. One of the Pioneers of the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute, An Affiliate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, where I served as the Secretary of the Institute for over 10 Years.Was Editor of the ‘Spotlight’ The newsletter of the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute.Is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London and an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India.Continuing as Editor of “The Bulletin” – The newsletter of the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers’ AssociationGuidance of youth had been my main theme – specially career guidance and the systematic organization and the conducting of Islamic Youth Camps and all-round workshop for youth for over 20 yearsI have done extensive research in Islam and allied subjects for over 20 Years and I speak 6 Languages.Had also given lectures at the invitation of Universities, various religious organizations, and NGOs on various issues, both professional and religious. Professional Lectures include widely - Lectures on Islamic Law and Insurance Law - with special reference to Islamic Concept and Current Times with regard to Insurance and Banking.Lectured at various International Symposiums, Seminars and Conferences on religion, in Sri Lanka and abroad.
