Steve Post is a freeform radio artist, and author of Playing in the FM Band (Viking Press, 1974)

In 2006, he celebrated his 25-year anniversary as a program host WNYC, New York City's principal NPR affiliate station. (Biography; photo retrospective.) For 20 years he was the host of WNYC 93.9's Morning Music program. Presently, he is host on Friday evenings of The No Show, an irreverant and eclectic mix of music and conversation, distinguished, like all of Post's programs, by his mordant sense of humor. In the 1960s, he was host of The Outside on WBAI at midnight on weekends.

Steve Post was born in The Bronx and attended DeWitt Clinton High School. He lives with his wife, Laura Rosenberg, on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
