Hopkins Public Schools has a large technology infrastructure. In accordance with the bond from 2007, all students in grades 6-12 receive a netbook computer at the beginning of the school year to be used for instructional purposes. Hopkins, being a small district, is a powerhouse when it comes to technology having 340 desktop workstations, 210 laptops, and over 1400 netbooks[1].

Hardware

Every instructional classroom is equipped with state of the art teaching technology. Ceiling mounted Epson 822+ 3LCD projectors are installed in each classroom and project onto a Hitachi Starboard FXDuo 88. In addition, a Avermedia SPB350 document camera is hooked up to the classroom computer and projector setup. For classroom audio enhancement, a Lightspeed Systems 850iR is installed in each classroom to help project the instructors voice and enhance the learning environment.
