Celebrated territory promoted out of Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens for nearly 50 years and run by Frank Tunney, who incorporated Tunney Sports out of the Queensbury Athletic Club before serving as NWA President from 1960-61. After Frank’s death in 1983, it was inherited by his nephew, Jack Tunney, who withdrew from the NWA in July 1984 to join the WWF, where he served as on-air President between 1984-95.
