"Such a Shame"
Song

"Such a Shame" is a song written and performed by guitarist Vince Melouney, released as the sixth track on the Bee Gees' 1968 album Idea, this song was only released in the UK on Polydor Records, but in the US on Atco Records, this song was replaced by "I've Gotta Get a Message to You".[1] But on the 1987 CD version of the album, both songs were included.[2] The song's music video was filmed in 1968 and released in 2006 on the album Idea - TV Special 1968.[3]

It is the only song on any Bee Gees album to have been written by a non-Bee Gees member and was recorded same day after they recorded "Kilburn Towers".[4]
