Escalator is the only album by the Sam Gopal band, released in 1969 on the small Stable Records label. [3] The band also released a single "Horse" with the B-side a Willie Dixon cover "Back Door Man" sometime just before the release of the album, which the current version of the album is now released with as bonus tracks. [4] This was Lemmy's (Ian Fraser Kilmister) band after playing in The Rockin' Vickers, which for some reason Lemmy, who put Motörhead together in 1975, is listed as 'Ian Willis'.
