Champagne Bricout is a Champagne house created in 1966 [1], subsidiary of Kupferberg (German sparkling wine),
producing in 1998, 3 million bottles per year [2], [3].

Acquired in 1998 by Martin Financial which facing major financial difficulties, sold Bricout to the financial holding US-Luxembourg Opson Schneider, but they went into bankruptcy causing a scandal unprecedented in Champagne [4], [5].
