War of the Roses is an action game developed at Fatshark and released by Paradox Interactive. In an interview with einfo games, executive Producer and CEO Martin Wahlund of Fatshark said “We are also working on War of The Roses that will be released this autumn”.[1][2] The game is set during the Wars of the Roses which ravaged England in the 15th century.[3] It was released on October 2, 2012.[4]

Gameplay

War of the Roses puts the player in control of a single, customizable soldier fighting for either the House of Lancaster or the House of York. The game plays in a third-person viewpoint and is a multiplayer game.[5][6] There are three different types of weapons which the player can equip at a single time: primary, secondary, and a dagger.

After the beta ended in September 10, 2012, income and experience rates were decreased by 100%.
