Jim Hage (Full name: Jim Henricus Adrianus Hage) was born 17 February 1977 in Tilburg (the Netherlands). Jim finished his study leisure management in october 2012. After he finished this study and worked hard, for about 18 years, in the retail industry. He decided it’s time for a new challenge. Together with his girlfriend he decided to make a trip around the world in the beginning of 2013. Places they going to visit are: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Aruba, Curacao, Miami and Hawaii.

Work experience

Jim Hage is experienced in the retail branche for more than 18 years. He worked in the positions as sales man at different stores (clothing- as well as record stores), sales consultant at a gym, shop manager at clothing stores and regional manager merchandise for the Efteling (biggest and best amusement park of the Netherlands). Beyond this “boring” story Jim is also active as an event manager and dj/producer. As event manager and marketeer he was successful organizing snowboard- and local music events.

Musician

As a musician Jim Hage played his digital music as an Electro, Hip hop and Drum ‘N Bass DJ, turntablist in a crossover and Dutch rock band, and makes digital music in all kind of styles. His goal was and still is to let the people party and/or put feeling in his musical productions. Jim Hage toured and played in a lot of key halls in The Netherlands, as well as big festivals such as Lowlands and Racism beat it. In the beginning of 2011 Jim choose for a professional sales career above his musical career. His passion for music will always be there. Mostly life as a musician is Sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, but in Jim’s life as an musician there is no drugs involved.

Goal

On his trip around the world Jim hopes to meet a lot of people from different cultures, who enjoy talking about their life, culture and experience. The best way to get people know is to work with, and talk to people living and working in the country. Another goal of this trip is to explore the world with the intention of starting a business in one of these countries. A future plan of Jim is to open a business in another country than the Netherlands. In this business he want to bring creative people/artists closer to the entrepreneurs. Hopefully Jim will meet some people who can give inspiration.
