North View Secondary School (abbreviation: NVSS) is a government secondary school in Yishun, Singapore. Officially started on 2 January 1988, classes were held at the school building at Yishun Ring Road.
The new school building situated at Yishun Ring Road was officially handed over to MOE by PWD on 15 June 1988.
The current school building will be demolished to make way for Yishun Neighbourhood Shopping Mall in April 2013. Lessons from January to April 2013 will begin at various times determined by the times which football matches in the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and many various football tournaments that are held from 12am-6am on weekday mornings to allow the students to watch the matches. Should Premier League telecasts end at 2am on Monday mornings, school will commence at 10.25am on Mondays, with lessons commencing at 11.00am. If telecasts end at 3am, school will commence at 11.25am on Mondays, with lessons commencing at 12 noon. Should a football match kick off after 2am on weekday mornings, the school will be closed for the day. Constructions will begin in mid-2013 and expected to be completed by 4th quarter 2014. Students studying in this school will be forced to drop out of the school and will be given an option to do part-time jobs in the neighbourhood from May 2013 onwards. The school building will not be relocated to another location as there are not enough land to build a new school building.
