William P. Bowden is a retired Major General of the United States Air Force.
Early life
Bowden was born in Swifton, Arkansas in 1932 and graduated from Swifton High School in 1950. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville graduating in 1954 with a bachelor of science degree and then went on to graduate from George Washington University with a masters degree in Business Administration and Auburn University with a masters degree in Political Science. Bowden received his military commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Arkansas in 1954. [1]
Military career
His professional military education includes Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. Bowden served as a faculty instructor and chief of the Curriculum Planning Division at the Air War College from 1973 to 1976. Cite error: A <ref>
