Peace is a rock band from Birmingham, UK. The group consists of brothers Harrison (vocals, guitar) and Sam Koisser (bass), Douglas Castle(guitar) and Dominic Boyce (drums).[1]
The band started getting attention in early 2012 from publications such as The Guardian and NME. Peace has been compared to The Maccabees,[2] Wu Lyf and Vampire Weekend.[1] They released their debut EP "Delicious" through Columbia Records early September 2012.
History
Peace formed late 2011 in Birmingham.[1] In an interview singer Harrison Koisser said the band was started out of boredom and the name inspired by a photograph celebrating the end of World War Two.[3]
Their first single was called "BBlood". In early 2012 the NME included them on their list of bands to watch in 2012[4] while Paul Lester of The Guardian called them "the future of indie".[5] In April 2012 the band released a new single called "Follow Baby"[3] and toured with the likes of Mystery Jets and The Vaccines.[6]
In August 2012 the single "California Daze" was released as a free download, followed shortly thereafter by their debut EP "Delicious". "Delicious" got positive reviews by BBC and NME.[7][8]
