Olasupo Shasore, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Commercial Dispute and Litigation Partner at [Ajumogobia] & Okeke ; has served as Attorney General& Commissioner for Justice Lagos State when Governor Fashola announced his cabinet in July 2007 .[1]. Nigeria Co- author of Commercial Arbitration - Arbitration law & international practice in Nigeria (2011) [Johnson & Shasore] and also serves as Chairman, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Committee of Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association; (2011) and Chairman of The Kuramo Conference Committee a policy initiative dedicated to international developmental programs and global advocacy to bring about knowledge, influence and improvement in Africa. Shasore is presently Chairman of Law reform Commission Lagos Nigeria and served as member secretary of the National Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force established to enquire into Nigeria’s oil and gas industry fiscal regimes. Author of Jurisdiction & Sovereign Immunity in Nigerian Commercial Law (Practice and text book) (NIIA 2007)

As Attorney General in Lagos State he initiated the Arbitration Law 2009 and Lagos Court of Arbitration an international centre for Arbitration and ADR


Shasore’s is noted for Corporate Commercial Crime, Shipping and Admiralty Litigation; Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution; Public and Constitutional Law. He has acted as counsel at numerous commercial arbitration proceedings and as fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom). Shasore was a co-founder of Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria (MAAN) and its first Vice President. He was also a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). He is frequently selected as an arbitrator in both international and domestic disputes.

As Attorney General of Lagos State, the commercial capital of Nigeria, he acted as the Head of State Prosecution Service; Chairman of the Technical Implementation Committee on the Reform of the Magistracy in Lagos State. As the Chairman, he constituted the committee and facilitated the review of the Criminal Code Law, Administration of Criminal Justice Law, Authored and Issued the first Prosecutors Guidelines 2011; initiated the first African Regional Conference of International Association of Prosecutors (“IAP”) In 2011 he received the first Attorney-General of the Year Award and Public Sector Legal Team of the Year 2011 Award.

Shasore is a Notary public for Nigeria
