Josh Lattanzi is an American Musician best known for his collaborations with Norah Jones, The Candles, Ben Kweller, The Lemonheads, Albert Hammond Jr., and Tinted Windows (band).

Early Life

Lattanzi graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1994.

Musical Career

Early Collaborations

Lattanzi recorded and toured with Juliana Hatfield [1] (1998-2002), James Taylor (2000), and Ivy (band) (2002-2004).

2001-2005: Ben Kweller

After Radish broke up, Lattanzi joined Ben Kweller’s band on bass. He collaborated with Kweller on the Sha Sha (2002) and On My Way (2004) albums.

2003-Present: The Lemonheads

After a decade long hiatus, Lattanzi joined Evan Dando on tour in support of the 2005 The Lemonheads album [2] [3] [4] [5]. Lattanzi played bass on the world wide tour.

2005-2008: Albert Hammond Jr.

Lattanzi recorded on Albert Hammond Jr.’s 2006 and 2008 solo records, Yours to Keep and Como Te Llama, and toured extensively with Hammond’s band. [6] [7] [8].

2008-Present: The Candles

Lattanzi formed The Candles in 2008[9] [10] [11]. The band has been described as a fusion of 70’s rock and 90’s alternative music [12] [13] [14]. Lattanzi’s debut album, Between the Sounds, received critical acclaim in Rolling Stone [15], Spin (magazine), and NME magazines, and the band has performed with Norah Jones, Mike Gordon, and Jon Fishman, among others. Notable appearances include South by Southwest [16].

2009: Tinted Windows

Tinted Windows (band) hired Lattanzi to play bass for thier self-titled world tour. [17] [18] [19].

2012: Norah Jones

Lattanzi is currently performing with Norah Jones in support of her 2012 release Little Broken Hearts [20]. He plays electric and upright bass, steel guitar, and piano in the band.

Other Notable Appearances

January 27 2013, Lattanzi performed with Jon Fishman (Phish) at the 'Long May You Run' Benefit Concert in Washington DC [21].
