First of all, who the hell is "We"? And who the hell are you to say what "We" either need or don't need? Unfortunately for whatever pretension you happen to be indulging, the existence of the God Hypothesis is crucial to the question of whether abiogenesis should be discussed as something that occurred in fact or as the study of a hypothetical process.

The matter, by the way, has little to do with the existence or non-existence of Creative Intelligence, and I made that clear in my post. Creativity can either not exist, or can exist and work directly (what we call Miracles) or can work through regular processes. Since abiogenesis is as compatible with Creativity as with its absence, I personally have no axe to grind here. It does not concern me *at all* whether the Moral Cause and the Direct Cause of life were identical or if the Moral Cause is several steps removed from the Direct Cause. It does concern me whether or not a Moral Cause exists at all, but that's besides the point here. The point is that it has not been established one way or the other and it is simply dishonest to pretend it has. 67.84.205.90 (talk) 08:33, 15 February 2013 (UTC)BigDip[reply]
