Is it named for the Twinbrook district of Belfast? -FZ 23:14, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know where the "Twinbrook" name came from, not being all too familiar with that part of the area. Anyone else? Schuminweb 23:30, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it is because it is right next to twinbrook parkway.. google maps should help illustrate this here Denki 18:05, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
OK, so what is the parkway named for? -FZ 01:36, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Origins of the name

Welll, being someone who lives in Twinbrook, I think that there are two (twin) streams (brooks) in the neighborhood, hence the name Twinbrook. I've only seen one of them, though. And no, the neighborhood is not named after the street. It's the other way around.

Also, Twinbrook is not the only residential area in Rockville nor is it the only commercial area in Rockville, yet this article makes it sound like it is. Somebody might want to change that.
