Late 80s Nickelodeon

I remember suffering through David the Gnome and Maya the bee (both bleah!) so I could watch this. I was so enchanted by this show for the longest time, I even remember the last episode where the Earth and The Orbish Koala-wala land dimension split apart. Made me sad. And some people may gripe about the bad dubbing, but that was part of this shows charm.

Bleah? Eh, I wasn't a huge fan of the first, but Maya the bee was BRILLIANT. I really liked Noozles too, though...although that last episode was a tear-jerker.

I had forgotten what this show was called, for the longest time I had this fuzzy memory of a magic koala bear show, and of a little pink bear who would draw a door to another dimension with her little magic compact, then I found a page on Whateverdude.com that reminded me what the show was called, [1] and i smacked my finger against the screen just like the page said, and declared "THAT'S WHAT IT WAS CALLED!", just like he says.

This really needs, i said *NEEDS* to be released on DVD, I don't even care if they remaster it or anything, just digitize and dump to MPEG-2 (DVD). I should scrounge up a VCR and then buy all the noozles tapes from amazon and disappear into my apartment for a month. whee!

The same goes for the Absolute Genius Pinwheel that aired all through the 80s, I miss pinwheel so much :( pinwheel (in it's original four hour block format) on DVD.

Some may complain about the bittersweet, almost melancholy ending that this series had, it's syrupy surface hides much more complex inner workings.

Buena Vista Apparently owns the rights to the Noozles

Call them @ 1-800-477-2811 and request that this unbelievably awesome show be released on DVD. do it! DO IT!!! gotta press the zero key repeatedly to talk to the operator (to bypass the automated menus) and DEMAND that this show be re-released!

Edit: They did actually call me back (spoke with a woman named "Debbie") and stated that "yes, this is something that has been acquired, but there are currently no plans for a release of this material". So again everyone needs to call them and worry them to death until they give in and put this rawkzoring show on the DVD!!11111

Japanese Version Intro

someone who can speak and read Japanese and English, click http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/179-the-noozles/1163/#intro and download the Japanese version intro and post the translated credits here. It needs a Windows Machine that can play .wmv files.

I like the way it says "Copyright Nippon Animation 1984" right on the title screen.

Also, an Episode list is available on many Japanese sites by searching for the Japanese string at the top of the article. Someone needs to translate it and post the list here.
