WBFZ (105.3 FM) was a radio station formerly licensed to serve Selma, Alabama, USA. The station was owned by Imani Communications Corporation, Inc. It aired a hip hop music format.[1]

History

THIS STATION CONTINUES TO BROADCAST AS SACTIONED BY THE FCC DESPITE THE COORDINATED EFFORT OF THOSE WHO LAUNCHED THIS CAMPAIGN TO SHUT DOWN THE STATION. YOU CAN SEE AND HEAR FOR YOURSELF AT www.wbfzfmradio.net. THE STATION IS STILL OWNED BY IMANI COMMUNICATIONS.

This station received its original construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission on June 17, 1998.[2] The new station was assigned the call letters WBFZ by the FCC on August 10, 1998.[3] WBFZ received its license to cover from the FCC on August 16, 2001.[4]

On April 6, 2012, the station's license was cancelled and its callsign deleted from the FCC's database.[5]
