The YouTube channel CGPGrey, is known for posting witty and educational videos on YouTube. It began after uploading a video explaining the terminology of the British Isles, called "The Difference between the United Kingdom, Great Britain and England Explained", which went viral.[1]

Videos

The channel provides a series of educational videos on range of subjects, including politics and economics. His video debunking popular misconceptions has been featured on CBS.[2] Two videos differentiate London, England, and the City of London.[3][4] Another two videos featuring explanations of copyright laws and The Electoral College have been featured on Mashable.[5][6] The channel also explains the economic disadvantages of pennies, in another viral video, Death to Pennies.[7][8] The video How to Become Pope also became viral.[9] The video explained the process on becoming Pope.[10]

The channel also published a series of videos explaining the differences between various election procedures, especially criticizing the shortcomings of First Past the Post (Gerrymandering, Minority Rule, Lack of Condorcet Winner, Two-party system, Spoiler effect) and discussing the relative advantages of the Alternative Vote (aka Instant Run-Off Elections) and Mixed-Member Proportional election of councils.
