Er, this discussion seems a little odd. The site chess.com claims over 7 million members, and over 10,000 logged in at a time. That makes it the biggest chess server in the world, I think.

While the "7 million" figure may be hard to verify -- and no doubt includes both paying and not paying users, for whatever that is worth -- the "14,017 logged in right now" data may be easy enough to verify.

For comparison, ICC typically has between 1000 and 2000 users logged in at a time. Not sure about chessbase (fritz), which serves more a european demographic.

Anyway really?? Seven million users and not "notable" ?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.57.57.220 (talk) 04:32, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well there you go: their Facebook page has over 300,000 "likes".

For comparison, the Internet Chess Club has

... an embarrassing 6000 likes.

Who is "notable" ??
