Doris Höglinger

I am a PhD student at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg. I'm also part of a Marie Curie initial training network called Sphingonet. This network creates a platform for young researchers (PhD students and postdocs) interested in studying the biology of Sphingolipids. Though I'm a chemical engineer by training, I've decided to switch my field of interest more towards biology and now I'm using my chemical knowledge to develop tools that can be used inside living cells to eludicate parts of the sphingolipid signaling network.

As part of the outreach activities in Sphingonet, the participants agreed on sharing parts of their knowledge with the general public through Wikipedia. This is how I became to be a Wikipedian.
