King of Hell (originally titled "Majeh" in Korea) is a manhwa - a Korean comic - written by Ra In-Soo and illustrated by Kim Jae-Hwan. In the United States, King of Hell is published by TOKYOPOP.

King of Hell is known for its distinctive child-like characters with huge, flat faces and large teeth.

Plot

Majeh was a great swordsman in life but he is merely an envoy to the next world for the King of Hell: an old man who bosses him around, throwing things at him. It is later discovered that he is a legendary swordsman who escaped from a magical realm where the fiercest warriors stayed, killing them all in the process. The council declared he was too dangerous and placed a seal on him, causing Majeh to turn into a teenager and with suppressed powers. A ninja, who is spying on his movements as ordered by the King of Hell, is caught by Majeh and is forced to be his slave or die! But before that he must stop a rift letting dangerous beings into the world or face the King of Hell!
