Biography

Snare is the son of Clayton and Barbara Snare. He has two brothers and one sister. From an early age, he showed interest in being a singer. He is a classically trained pianist. Eventually, his family moved to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania where he attended Lock Haven High School. After graduating, he moved to Orlando, Florida, where he studied theatre at Rollins College, but changed to a career in music after a while.

Some time later, he moved to the Carolinas, where he met bassist Perry Richardson. Together, they formed a band called Maxx Warrior and eventually formed FireHouse with guitarist Bill Leverty and drummer Michael Foster. The band enjoyed great success during their initial years with several #1 songs and 16 gold and platinum records around the world. FireHouse also won The American Music Award in 1991 for Best New Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Group. Snare has two ASCAP songwriting Awards, and is a voting member of the National Academy Of The Recording Arts And Sciences. ( GRAMMYS )

Snare and FireHouse still tour frequently world wide and are still recording albums. On May 22, 2011 a project set called Rubicon Cross was released with UK guitarist, Chris Green.

He has also released a Christmas Single and co wrote and sang a song called "Do What You Believe", on the Liberty N Justice CD titled Light It Up. He recently collaborated with guitarist George Lynch on a Heavy Metal cover of the U2 song, Pride, scheduled for release early 2011.

Snare keeps his voice in shape by warming up before shows. He doesn't smoke and says that he doesn't drink any alcohol while he's on the road before shows. He currently resides in Wisconsin with his wife Brenda and sons Connor, and Hunter. He also has a daughter, Heather, who lives in Florida with the rest of his family.
