I've found no other mention of Anaxiphales (or M. Edimont) outside of wikipedia. A hoax, perhaps?68.191.166.47 01:00, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably a hoax. The first sentence was taken word-for-word from this page. I can't tell from the context of that page whether this character is an actual philosopher or an artistic creation. Probably the latter. KSchutte 03:01, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The art exhibit is more recent than the article, though.
