James Keogh (better known as Vance Joy) is an Australian singer-songwriter born in Melbourne. His debut EP God Loves You When You're Dancing was released in March 2013. The single "Riptide" became a success on Australian commercial radio,[1] and was certified Platinum by the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA).[2] The music video was directed by Laura Gorun. The song also features in a GoPro TV advertising camping in the US.[3]

Vance Joy has signed with Atlantic Records a five-album deal.[4]

He has an arts/law degree from Monash University.[4]
