"So Forgetful"
Song

"So Forgetful" is the fifth single from Lloyd Banks' third album H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More). The song was produced and features R&B singer Ryan Leslie. The song was released as a digital download on May 24, 2011.[1]

Background

The song was confirmed to be Lloyd's fifth single from the album after he shot the video as well as confiming it in an interview with Cedes & DJ Chonz.[2] Banks described the song as being inspired by the movie The Hangover during an interview with MTV.[3] He had this to say about the single, "The way we put the record together was kind of how the video is playing out," Banks said about the song's inception. "I stopped by the studio, [Leslie] was working on a few sounds, and he plays everything, from the drums to the keys. So, he basically started, and I just started writing the verses, and it came to life".[4] Both Lloyd Banks and Ryan Leslie performed the song live at Hot 97 Summer Jam 2011, and it received a very good reception from the crowd.[5]

Music video

The video for the song was shot in New York City and Long Island. The video concept is about both Banks and Leslie putting a song together after not remembering what happened the night before. It's also about both men meeting so many women that they can't remember each of them.[6] The video was directed by Armen Djerrahian and it was released as a download on May 24, 2011.[7]
