Club career
Born in Barakaldo, Biscay, Albizua joined Athletic Bilbao's youth system in 2003. He played three seasons with the reserves in Segunda División B, captaining the team to the playoffs via a 3rd-place finish in his last.
Albizua was promoted to the first team prior to the beginning of the 2013–14 season, and made his La Liga debut as a 67th-minute substitute in a 2–0 defeat at Atlético Madrid on 3 November 2013.
