Chris Christman (born Christopher E A Christman, 1965 in California) is an American CG Supervisor /Creative Director.
Christopher is a native of Santa Barbara California. From an early age, he
expressed a love for all things artistic and musical. Growing up, he tested the
artistic waters of film making, illustration and design, traditional theatre and
storytelling. He also developed an early passion for martial arts and became an
ardent disciple as well as an avid competitor.
Seeking some adventure, he enlisted in the Army at age 20 and spent 4 years in
an elite special operations paratrooper unit where he learned the value of
communication, effective leadership, and teamwork. Upon completing his
enlistment, Christopher embraced the world of fine art again , spending several
years painting high end murals for numerous corporations. films, and private
clients.
In 1992, Christopher transitioned into the emerging field of computer graphics by
winning a coveted internship to Wavefront Technologies/Silicon Graphics. He
spent 4 years at Alias/Wavefront (A Silicon Graphics subsidiary) spearheading
the proliferation of high end tools and techniques into the Visual Effects
workplace. Since leaving Alias/Wavefront, Christopher has worked and managed
projects for some of the world's largest and most prestigious companies
including, Waner Bros Feature Animation, Disney Feature Animation, Lucasfilm,
Sony Imageworks, and many other prominent players.
Most recently, Christopher helped spearhead the Visual Effects/Animation
creative component for RGH and was responsible for laying out a global creative
and technical infrastructure, pipeline, workflows, and leadership for RGH
animation/vfx endeavors.
Chris married his sweetheart, Ronna Ilene Schulman on September 11, 1992 in Santa Barbara, California.[11] They have three children together. Selected filmography[edit]
