Darevskia defilippii,This species has been recorded from the Alborz Mountains of northern Iran and the Kopet Dagh Mountains of Iran and adjacent Turkmenistan (only at Sushankaa Bol'shie Kazanki) (Anderson, 1999). It has been found from close to sea level to 3,355m asl. It is generally found on slopes in rocky areas with shrubby vegetation, although it has also been recorded from grassy alpine landscapes and close to the upper limits of Hyrcanian forest (Anderson, 1999). It is not known whether the species can persist in degraded habitats.[1]
