North View Secondary School a.k.a. NVSS (Singapore) is a private secondary school located in Yishun, Singapore. Officially started on 2 January 1988, classes were held at the school building located at Yishun Ring Road.
The school does not have a Principal and Vice-Principal in 2013 as the Principal and Vice-Principal has died in 2012 as their heart failed to work due to a loud crash made by a car in a fatal accident. Their bodies were recovered by the school staff and were buried at the Bukit Brown Cemetery. Mr James Ong, head of the school land management committee and his brother Mr David Ong replaced them as Principal and Vice-Principal respectively in 2014.
The current school building will be demolished to make way for Yishun Neighbourhood Shopping Mall in April 2013. Lessons from January to April 2013 will begin at various times determined by the times which football matches in the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and many various football tournaments that are held from 12am-6am on weekday mornings to allow the students to watch the matches. Should Premier League telecasts end at 2am on Monday mornings, school will commence at 10.25am on Mondays, with lessons commencing at 11.00am and ending at 5.30pm. If telecasts end at 3am, school will commence at 11.25am on Mondays, with lessons commencing at 12 noon and ending at 6.30pm. Should a football match kick off after 2am on weekday mornings, the school will be closed for the day. Constructions will begin in mid-2013 and expected to be completed by 4th quarter 2014. Students studying in this school will be forced to drop out of the school and will be given an option to do part-time jobs in the neighbourhood from May 2013 onwards. The school building will not be relocated to another location as there are not enough land to build a new school building.
The school must follow the above or a group of people who are construction workers and football fans will destroy the school building by burning it using fire and using hammers to break the building and force it to be collapsed.

- Teachers: Randomly selected by Mr James Ong and Mr David Ong. Teachers would be given daily/weekly/monthly contracts to be signed, also randomly selected by Mr James Ong and Mr David Ong. Once a teacher's contract expires, he/she would be fired from the school immediately and is not allowed to sign a new one.

The school did not receive any awards as it is a weakest school in Singapore.
Appearances on television
The school was the filming location for School's In (TV Series) for seasons 11 & 12 (2011-2012). School's In was televised on Events Channel E from 2001. Season 12 was the final season of School's In on Channel E and was replaced with sports and dramas shown on weekdays from 7am-1pm.
The school also organized concerts and competitions which were also televised on Channel E in 2011 and 2012. The performances were usually judged by students who usually would press their buzzers (similar to America's Got Talent) if they did not like the performances (an X would be given once a judge pressed his buzzer) and would give comments and sometimes the judges criticized the performances for lack of talent/teamwork/creativity etc. The performances were terminated if three buzzers were pressed by the judges. Viewers who watched the show could vote by calling a toll-free telephone number or by SMS. Viewers usually had two or four hours to vote at the end of the show, depending on the type and number of performances. The performances were notably "talentless" and most of them were usually criticized by the judges. Most performances were X'ed out by the judges. Sometimes, all the performances in a particular concert/competition in the school were all X'ed out by the judges. Viewers are still allowed to vote for the act that has been X'ed out. Also, sometimes an act continued their performance even when being X'ed out by the judges, and this required staff and crew members to shout the word "stop!" or even going up to the stage to ask the performers to get down and stop their performance, signifying that they must end their performance and have the judges comment/critique on their performance.
The school organized a cohort camp for its Secondary 3 students on 26-28 March 2013. It was telecast live on Channel E. However, Channel E viewers complained that the telecast took up the entire day and that the cohort camp was not interesting at all. Channel E planned to show highlights on future cohort camps instead of showing it live the entire day.

All football matches listed in this article indicate live matches only. It does not include repeat telecasts or matches which are not televised.
Please do not remove any fixtures from this article. Any fixtures removed will be added back to the article. The fixture list is to force the school to adjust the school hours so that students can watch football matches till the wee hours at night and have enough sleep for school. The school must not open if a football match kicks off in the wee hours to allow students to get up and catch them.
