Career
America’s Got Talent
In 2008, Indiggo qualified for the semi-finals on Season 3 of America's Got Talent, a reality show competition. Judge Piers Morgan called Mihaela and Gabriela Modorcea "the worst dancers and the worst singers in the entire competition" and they were eliminated from the competition.[5][6]
Musical theater
Gabriela and Mihaela acted in the musical The Two Orphans in Bucharest, Romania in 2006.[7] After seeing Mihaela and Gabriela acting in The Two Orphans, Romanian author D. R. Popescu wrote a play for them entitled Two Sisters, subsequently published in the Romanian-language collection of plays called Domnul Fluture si Doamna Fluture.[8] Indiggo has also appeared in the Romanian musical The Future is in Eggs by Eugène Ionesco.[citation needed]
On June 21, 2011, Indiggo had the premiere of their theatre show "Wicked Clone" at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York. The show was written, composed, arranged, choreographed and performed by Indiggo. At the end of the show, Indiggo received and signed a publishing deal with Imagem Music.[citation needed]
Music
Indiggo’s first album was produced by MediaPro Music in 2000. Their first Europe-wide single "Hip Hop Jam" topped the charts in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.[citation needed]
Indiggo’s music was released[when?] Europe-wide by Sony BMG, reaching the top of the charts as Indiggo has regularly performed on German and European reality TV shows.[9][10][11]
Indiggo’s LA LA LA is sampled on “Murder to Excellence,” a song on Watch the Throne, the 2011 collaborative studio album by rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West.[12]
Acting
Gabriela Modorcea is an aspiring actress.[13] She had a non-speaking cameo role on the episode "Hothouse" of the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which first aired on NBC on January 13, 2009. Gabriela also had a cameo as Taj's sister in the National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj (2006).[14]
Indiggo had small cameos in the 2009 Russian comedy Lyubov v bolshom gorode (No Love in the City). They were credited as “Gabriela Modorsea” and “Mikhaela Modorsea“ and played the part of Bliznyashka No. 1 and Bliznyashka No. 2, respectively.[15][16]
