Zoroastrianism in Azerbaijan goes back from 2000 BC to this day. Zoroastrianism used to be the main religion for thousands of years in Azerbaijan. The name Azerbaijan means Land of The Eternal Fire and has a direct link with Zoroastrianism.

Today the religion and culture of Zoroastrianism is highly respected in Azerbaijan some traditions such as Novruz are still being held in fact Novruz is the main holiday in Azerbaijan. Zoroastrianism has left a deep history mark in the history of Azerbaijan. Traces of the religion can be traced by the Ramana (settlement), Xınalıq, Yanar Dag and more.
