Palm Kingdoms is a video game for developed by iosoftware LTD. Formerly also known as Pocket Heroes, and Palm Heroes. The gameplay is reminiscent of the original Heroes of Might and Magic series. Started as a Pocket PC clone of Heroes 2, Palm Kingdoms gradually became an independent project with its original graphics.

Pocket Heroes

v.0.02a

The project started in 2004, developed by Robert Tarasov and Anton Stuk. The first alpha version dates back to 25 Mar 2006, for Windows Mobile devices.

v.0.03a

On 1 Apr 2006, v0.03a was made publicly available as free download on the project forum. Despite very limited AI, no spell casting, and only one map to play, Pocket Heroes quickly became popular. Palm OS version development was announced. The development team expanded with artists, map makers, and testers.

v.0.041a

v.1.0 / 1.01

Pocket Heroes 1.0 was released on 9 Apr 2007, as shareware. The decision to make the game commercial was controversial, but necessary. The development team split.

v.1.01 was released on 19 Apr 2007 as a quick patch with crucial bug fixes.

Palm Heroes

v.1.02

In 2007, the project changed the name to Palm Heroes, because the former name was registered as a trademark of "Pocket Super Heroes", a toy company making action figures.

v.1.02 featured the rebranded Christmas-styled logo "Palm Heroes". This version marks the beginning of the graphical changes in the game to replace the objects borrowed from Heroes of might and Magic 2.
