Palm Kingdoms is a video game developed by iosoftware LTD. Formerly also known as Pocket Heroes, and Palm Heroes. The gameplay is reminiscent of the original Heroes of Might and Magic series. Started as a Pocket PC clone of Heroes 2, Palm Kingdoms gradually became an independent project with its original graphics.

v.1.0 / 1.01

Pocket Heroes 1.0 was released 9 Apr 2007 as shareware with in-game registration. The decision to make the game commercial was controversial, but necessary. The development team split.

v.1.01 was released 19 Apr 2007 as a quick patch with crucial bug fixes.

Palm Heroes

v.1.02

30 Dec 2007, the project changed the name to Palm Heroes, because the former name was registered as a trademark of "Pocket Super Heroes", a toy company making action figures.

v.1.02 featured a rebranded Christmas-styled logo "Palm Heroes". This version marks the beginning of massive graphical changes in the game, aimed to replace the objects borrowed from Heroes of Might and Magic 2.

Reception

"Classic 'Heroes' Gameplay at its Finest. If you have any love at all for turn-based strategy games, and you're looking for a game that has enough content to keep you occupied for a good deal of time, check out Palm Heroes 2 Deluxe, you won’t be disappointed."

4/5 rating | www.toucharcade.com[1]

"Basically, the developers were trying to remake the original game on modern machines, and they succeeded. While this is a strike against innovation, Palm Kingdoms 2 Deluxe does preserve what made Heroes of Might and Magic 2 so great."

5/8 rating | www.outofeight.info[2]
