Edit notice for Downton Abbey

You've been working with me on keeping the various in-universe versions of names in the Downton Abbey article under check recently. I've come to the conclusion, watching the same few editors constantly changing back to in-universe versions or adding in-universe content, that we need an edit notice reminding folks about how names and details should appear. What think you? Drmargi (talk) 19:14, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) See Wikipedia:Editnotice: the editnotice would be at Template:Editnotices/Page/Downton Abbey, but you would need an administrator to do this. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:49, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
I'm aware of that. I was just asking another editor his opinion regarding whether it was needed, not soliciting advice on how to do it. Drmargi (talk) 23:07, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Fact is I, on the other hand, know nothing of edit notices and the accepted criteria for their inclusion. So I'll leave this to your discretion. U-Mos (talk) 00:00, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
There's really one criterion for inclusion: that they're needed. Check the Doctor Who page: I'm talking about the notice at the top of the page when an editor clicks EDIT, reminding them to use British English. We need something comparable on Downton Abbey regarding in-universe edits. It's perfectly simple to request. Drmargi (talk) 07:42, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
