Veoh is a San Diego company that has created a peercasting network for video distribution.

Unlike other video distribution networks (such as YouTube), the company distributes video content in its original format, rather than transcoding to a lower bandwidth and lower quality version. The company's use of a peercasting solution rather than direct downloads also means that bandwidth costs will not rise in direct proportion to the number of users.

Veoh was known by many of its users for not censoring adult content, unlike other video distribution networks. With a change in it's 'terms and conditions' however, Veoh no longer offers adult content, causing many Veoh users to go back to YouTube.

The company has recently received extensive media attention after Michael Eisner (ex Disney chairman) joined the board.
