The Writer with No Hands is a 2014 feature-length documentary film about an academic's investigation into the disappearance of Hollywood screenwriter Gary Devore.

Devore disappeared in June 1997. A year later, his car and body were discovered submerged in the California Aqueduct near Palmdale, California but investigators were uncertain about the events that occurred immediately prior to the apparent crash.[1]
