Vic & Anthony’s is an American steakhouse concept with locations in Downtown Houston, Manhattan and inside the Golden Nugget Casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.[1][2] A fifth location is scheduled to open inside the new Golden Nugget Lake Charles in late 2014.[3] Vic & Anthony’s is owned and operated by Landry’s, Inc. and is considered among the nation’s premier steakhouses.[4]
History
In the early 2000s, Landry’s, Inc. founder, president and CEO Tilman J. Fertitta travelled across the nation with his father Vic Fertitta, visiting the country’s premier steakhouses with the intention of opening a new steakhouse concept in Houston.[5][6] In 2002, Fertitta opened Vic & Anthony’s in Downtown Houston, across the street from Minute Maid Park, the home of Major League Baseball’s Houston Astros.[7]
Dining
Vic & Anthony’s features an upscale atmosphere.[8] Dress code is business or dressy casual. A jacket and tie is preferred for gentlemen, but not required. Hats, shorts and flip-flops are not allowed.[9] All four locations are open for dinner, and the New York location is open for lunch Monday through Friday.[10] The Houston location is only open for lunch on Fridays, when Executive Concept Chef Carlos Rodriguez features a number of gourmet burgers.[11] The restaurant is a favorite of many local celebrities and athletes, including Houston Rockets’ guard James Harden, who frequents the restaurants after home games.[12]
