I am a neuropsychologist based at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. My areas of expertise are motor neurone disease, psychology, and I'm currently working in parkinson's disease.

I have stuck my nose into a variety of articles, mostly of a neurological theme.

I am interested in getting more experts on to wikipedia but have encountered resistance and dare I say apathy from academics. One possible reason, anti-elitism, is outlined here.[[1]]. They're busy people and they can't see why they should spend several hours providing free content that will get them no credit on the RAE and can be wiped out by anyone with a keyboard and an opinion. I have no doubt that in the future, the RAE will take note of academics' contributions to wikis. I also work on an "internal" wiki at work, viewable here[[2]].

"Wicks, you're the worst of them all. Finding that amusing shows what a really inflated view you have of your negligible knowledge of Parkinson's Disease. A novice who fools himself he's an expert." General Tojo
