If My Heart Had Wings (この大空に、翼をひろげて, Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete) is a Japanese eroge produced by Pulltop. It was released in 25th of May 2012. An English localization was released by MoeNovel in 28th of June 2013. The game is focused on Aoi who returned to his hometown of Kazegaura where a gentle breeze blows through the streets, having lost his direction in life. On the hill lined with windmills, he met a wheelchair-ridden girl Kotori and watched the gliders overhead in awe. With his childhood friend Ageha in tow, they resurrect the soaring club in order to fulfill a childhood dream: to fly on a paper airplane.

Plot

Main characters

Aoi Minase

Aoi Minase is the main protagonist of the visual novel. He was once a cycling member on his previous school, but unfortunately, an accident occurred which injured his legs. Aoi is a boy who has returned to his hometown of Kazegaura through an accident. He had intended on returning to his parents’ home but was made the manager of Keifuu Academy’s girls’ dormitory by his mother who manages the dormitory. Through meeting Kotori, he begins getting back the passion he once had and pushes forward. His height is 174 cm.

Amane Mochizuki

An airhead yet genius senior to most of the main characters. She loves food so much and is the only flaw from her. Tall, gorgeous, and very stylish girl. When quiet, she is beautiful and seems kind. She is the sole member of Keifuu Academy’s Soaring Club before Aoi and his friends joined. She continues to enroll in school even after many years in order to complete the self-built glider for her best friend, Isuka. Although a genius, she can be quite clumsy. Her height is 162 cm, with the proportional sizes 92-59-86 cm.

Ageha Himegi

A fashionable, cheerful, beautiful young girl who has a playfully flirtatious air about her. As she is good with her hands, she belongs to the Robotics Club but soon joins the Soaring Club. She once had feelings Aoi, and despite being confessed to by Aoi, she rejected him. After five long years, they will meet again. Her height is 160 cm, with proportional sizes 90-57-87 cm.

Kotori Habane

A beautiful girl bound to a wheelchair. She is a slender girl with long, black hair and a tidy appearance but is strong willed and speaks with confidence. Also, a cry baby. Because she transferred to Keifuu Academy for the simple reason that she is unable to move her legs and is completely barrier free, she has no interests in classes which teach specialty fields. Because of this, she is completely cut off from her those around her. Her height is 158 cm with sizes 81-55–84 cm.

Asa Kazato

Asa is a girl with a bright and warm atmosphere. She is the twin sister of Yoru. She can be a little clumsy, and a bit of an airhead but even those traits are attractive. Asa, who can get along with anyone, helps others get along with each other as well. With Yoru, they provide their secret base as a garage for the glider. Her height is 150 cm along with proportional sizes 77-56-82 cm. Along with Yoru, they enter Keifuu Academy as first-years.

Yoru Kazato

Rather indifferent about others, and a bit of a nihilist. A cool personality, with her head up in the clouds. She tries not to get close to others but is emotionally attached to her twin sister Asa. Because she is a genius and does not like doing pointless things, she is rather pessimistic in regards to the Soaring Club. Her grandfather is the chairman of the school which Aoi and the others attend. Her height and proportional sizes are the same with her twin sister.

Supporting characters

Tatsuya Igarasashi

An adolescent in the same age of Amane and Hibari. He is a kind and like an older brother to the main cast. He is working in his family's factory and he helps gather materials for the glider. His height is 178 cm.

Masatsugu Tasaki

Masatsugu, or commonly known as Ma-bou by his childhood friends. He used to have a girlfriend but broke up with her after a music disagreement. He has a part-time job. His height is 171 cm.

Hibari Habane

Hibari is the older sister of Kotori. She is around the age of Tatsuya and Amane. She is constantly worried about Kotori who rides gliders.

Hotaru Himegi

She is the little sister of Ageha. She is one of the group of friends. In the fan disc, she is one of the heroines. She is often teased by Aoi.

Akari Kumoi

The vice president of the Student Council. She is very serious about rules of the school. Later on, she becomes elected as the president. Her height is 163 cm with proportional sizes 84-59-85 cm.

Kanako Sigure

Kanako is a resident of the Flying Fish Manor. She rarely leaves the dormitory to go to her house because she keeps getting kicked out by her parents for walking around in her underwear all the time.

Isuka Misagi

The bestfriend of Amane Mochizuki. She promised her to take her up on the Morning Glory but it never happened due to an accident. She hides the fact that she has a frail constitution from her friends.

Development

Release

Pulltop officially released the game Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete - Trial Edition on the 6th of April in 2012, with an age rating of 18+. Followed by the first press limited edition game that was officially published and released on the 25th of May in the same year. The visual novel received its English localization on the 28th of June in 2013, with its age rating lowered to "all-ages" since all sexual content was removed. However, a fan restoration patch which restores (hence the name) all content removed and fixes some of the awkward english was released a month later.

Fan disc

The fan disc for Konosora, featuring a before story for the Soaring Club (after Amane’s route), an after story for the Soaring Club (after Kotori’s route), as well as stories for subheroines Hotaru and Kanako. There’s also additional ecchi-focused side stories for twins Asa and Yoru, and siblings Ageha and Hotaru. It was released on January 25, 2013.

Music

The opening theme for the game is Precious Wing by Chata and the ending song is Perfect Sky by Haruka Shimotsuki. In its soundtrack, there are 28 songs in total.
