Goose Hollow, Portland, OR

Goose Hollow (PDF Map)acquired its distinctive name through early residents’ practice of letting their geese run free throughout the wooded hollow. Former Mayor Bud Clark’s Goose Hollow Inn (1927 SW Jefferson St.) is a long-time neighborhood hang out. The Southwest Portland neighborhood is adjacent to Downtown and is served by the MAX light rail line, which provides transport to the airport and the rest of the city. Goose Hollow has several parks, including Washington Park, where one can catch the Wildwood Trail.
