Banc De Binary Management

Conflict of interest disclosure

[edit]

My name is Israel and I work for Banc De Binary in senior management. The CEO is Oren Laurent. I have a conflict of interest relating to Banc De Binary, binary options, and related topics, broadly construed.

This account was created in accord with Banc De Binary initiatives to ensure Wikipedia compliance. Accordingly, this account will not edit mainspace in the topic area of my conflict of interest. I intend to use this account personally for building the encyclopedia in other areas, and for support of questions related to Banc De Binary. Please feel free to visit my talk page.

This is a personal account and does not reflect the opinions or interests of Banc De Binary, which has locations in Cyprus, Israel, and worldwide.

Board communication

[edit]

The Board of Directors of Banc De Binary Ltd. has approved the following statement for public release. I am also authorized to answer questions in response.

Banc De Binary has recently created and implemented wholly new protocols across our entire corporate and personal social networking presence. These protocols require all employees and contractors to maintain compliance with the policies of third-party websites used for social marketing, whether on behalf of Banc De Binary or in one's own person. They also require disclosure of personal website accounts in certain circumstances.

Banc De Binary can disclose at this time that it formerly had a business relationship with Wiki-PR, an organization that is now community-banned by Wikipedia. Banc De Binary has severed all ties with Wiki-PR long ago, and in fact created its current protocols as a direct result of its relationship with Wiki-PR.

Pursuant to our internal protocols and Wikipedia policy, Banc De Binary can also disclose the following at this time: (1) Wikipedia User:Scubadoofeck was disclosed to us as an account of Wiki-PR while Wiki-PR served as our agent. Scubadoofeck was community-banned by Wikipedia. Banc De Binary was not aware of any noncompliance by Scubadoofeck while we had a business relationship with Wiki-PR. Banc De Binary has severed all ties with Wiki-PR and Scubadoofeck. (2) Wikipedia User:Notsosoros and User:OrangeHogs were disclosed to us as an account and a legitimate alternate account of one of our workers in the course of protocol compliance. Notsosoros and OrangeHogs were indefinitely blocked by Wikipedia. Banc De Binary became aware that these users engaged in a pattern of noncompliance for approximately one week and responded immediately. The worker in question has been counseled and the noncompliance will not recur. (3) Wikipedia User:Elandroid engaged in a pattern of noncompliance for an indefinite period. Elandroid was indefinitely blocked by Wikipedia. Elandroid has not been disclosed to us as one of our employees or contractors. It is therefore our reasonable belief that Elandroid has no formal relationship with Banc De Binary. Banc De Binary regrets the noncompliances independently initiated by our agents and by third parties. All employees and contractors of Banc De Binary are currently in compliance with our social marketing protocols.

Further Board communication

[edit]

The Board of Directors of Banc De Binary Ltd. has approved the following statement for public release. I am also authorized to answer questions in response.

Pursuant to our internal protocols and Wikipedia policy, Banc De Binary can disclose the following at this time: (1) Wikipedia User:NLZ06 engaged in a pattern of editing in May 2014 that gave the appearance of sockpuppetry. NLZ06 was indefinitely blocked by Wikipedia. NLZ06 has not been disclosed to us as one of our employees or contractors. It is therefore our reasonable belief that NLZ06 has no formal relationship with Banc De Binary. (2) Wikipedia User:Okteriel engaged in a pattern of editing in June 2014 that gave the appearance of sockpuppetry. Okteriel was indefinitely blocked by Wikipedia. Okteriel has not been disclosed to us as one of our employees or contractors. It is therefore our reasonable belief that Okteriel has no formal relationship with Banc De Binary. Banc De Binary regrets the noncompliances independently initiated by our agents and by third parties. All employees and contractors of Banc De Binary are currently in compliance with our social marketing protocols.

Editing role

[edit]

The Board has also asked me to take an active part in guiding discussion of the Banc De Binary article, the text of which is currently not in Wikipedia compliance. I hope to have a fruitful discussion with all editors while compliance is being achieved. BDBIsrael (talk) 15:30, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Clarification: As one responsible for compliance across social media, I am required to be familiar with, and I have broad access to data about, Wikipedia editing by Banc De Binary employees and contractors. I am inferring from certain editor statements that the Board's statement has not answered all questions that may arise about our Wikipedia editing. It is also possible that, despite our regular reviews, editors may be aware of facts or inferences that we are not aware of that might suggest noncompliance. It may be useful to restate that it is my job to be aware of current noncompliance by employees and contractors and I am not aware of any. I am available for such questions or comments at my user talkpage, but I am not aware of having received any direct questions as yet.

It is understandable that the actions of Wiki-PR and other factors may have contributed to an atmosphere of distrust. Banc De Binary's new initiatives can establish grounds for trust but they cannot force anyone to enter into that trust. By making myself available on regular occasions for answering questions, I hope to provide a channel where those grounds for trust can be discussed. BDBIsrael (talk) 16:05, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
