Four special episodes of the animated comedy television series Ed, Edd n Eddy, created by Danny Antonucci, aired from December 3, 2004, to May 11, 2007. While the series was originally set to air for four seasons, Cartoon Network ordered an additional two seasons, as well as three holiday specials.[1][2] All three holiday specials were written by Antonucci, Jono Howard and Mike Kubat.[3]

The first special was the Christmas special "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle", which originally aired on December 3, 2004.[4] It is part of the Cartoon Network Christmas Volume 2: Christmas Rocks compilation DVD, which was released in region 1 on October 4, 2005.[5] The second special was the Valentine's Day special "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Hanky Panky Hullabaloo", which aired on February 11, 2005.[6]

The third and final holiday-themed special was the Halloween "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Boo Haw Haw", which aired on October 28, 2005.[7] For his work on the episode, Patric Caird was nominated for the Best Musical Score in an Animation Program award at the 2006 Leo Awards.[8] The episode competed in the Best TV Special category on the 2006 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.[9][10] Antonucci stated that "Boo Haw Haw" was one of his favorite Ed, Edd n Eddy episodes that he worked on.[11] The episode is part of "Cartoon Network's Super Scary Showcase" on the iTunes Store, but only to the UK.[12]

A fourth special was also produced, however, it was alien rather than holiday-themed: "The Eds are Coming, the Eds are Coming" aired on May 11, 2007, as part of the "Cartoon Network Invaded" mini-series,[13] which aired specials of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Camp Lazlo, and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy from May 4 to May 28, 2007.[13] It was written by Antonucci, Kubat and Rachel Connor and can be purchased on the iTunes Store separately or as part of season 5.[14][3]
