History

1989- Michael Horgan and Christian Masters purchase JPL Video Productions from JP Lilley & Son and open for business on Third Street with three employees. 1993- The staff of 15 moves to its new location on Derry Street and builds a production studio. 1995 - JPL partners with Parsec Digital and starts the Interactive Technologies Group to handle multimedia, web and computer-based training. 2000 - Christian Masters divests ownership and returns to producing. Luke Kempski takes on role as VP. Former JP Lilley President Dave Wilson joins JPL as CFO. 2000 - JPL acquires York production company, Kennedy-Lee. 2002 - JPL acquires MarginPoint, enhancing web application development and e-marketing capabilities. 2004 - Michael Horgan takes on new role as Executive Chairman and Luke Kempski becomes President. 2005 - JPL moves into new 88,000 square-foot facility on JPL Wick Drive in Harrisburg. 2008 - JPL Productions rebrands as JPL, a strategic integrated communications company. 2011 - JPL forms alliance with Baltimore, MD public relations firm, Abel Communications. 2012 – JPL acquires d’Vinci Interactive in Hagerstown, MD

JPL promotes the philosophy: “Work Hard. Play Hard.” At work, employees are encouraged to dress comfortably and to personalize their workspace.
