Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone is Lucinda Williams' eleventh studio album. The double album was released in 2014 on the Thirty Tigers label. The song "Compassion" is based on a poem by her father, Miller Williams. It includes a guest appearance by Jakob Dylan on the song "It's Gonna Rain."
