Setareki "Seta" Tamanivalu (born 23 July 1992) is a Fijian-born rugby union player who plays for Taranaki.

Early life

Tamanivalu was born and raised in Fiji. He attended Lelean Memorial School where he excelled in both rugby and rugby league. He was a member of the Fiji Secondary Schools Under 18 rugby league squad that toured Australia in 2010.[1] He later migrated to New Zealand where he gained a scholarship at Saint Kentigern College to play rugby.

Career

In 2012, Tamanivalu started his professional rugby career when he was named in the Taranaki squad for the 2012 ITM Cup.[2]

Super Rugby

In October 2014, the [[[Chiefs (Super rugby franchise)|Chiefs]] announced they had signed Tamanivalu to a 2-year contract.[3]
